Paul Abercrombie was a Detective Chief Inspector in the London Metropolitan Police. Being a police officer was all Paul had ever wanted to be, and over the years, he’d worked hard to reach his current position.

Paul and his wife Ellie had four children, twin boys who would soon be leaving to attend Cambridge University, a daughter Nichole, who was fifteen and then there had been a son, Mathew, who had died at the age of twelve. Before the boys left for University, Paul had decided to take the family on vacation to America. A chance meeting with an FBI Agent in Salt Lake City, Utah, had changed their lives completely. Not long after they arrived back in England, Paul had received a letter offering him a job as an FBI Agent in Utah. Soon after the boys left for Unitversity, Paul and his family were on their way to start their new life in Salt Lake City,

FBI Agent Abercromnbie stared at the tortured body of the young girl lying in the woods dressed in a long white dress with a green sash. As he looked sadly at the body of the girl, he knew he was looking at the work of a vicious serial killer. He’d seen the work of this killer before when he was a Detective Chief Inspector in London. There was no doubt in his mind that this was the work of the same man. How was it possible that the same killer from London could now be killing right here in Salt Lake City? Paul had no doubt that it was the same killer. He also knew from experience that this vicious seriel killer would kill another five girls before his killing spree would stop, then he would move on. This raised so many questions in his mind. Is this his normal pattern? Did he kill six girls and then move on to another area? Was it possible for him to be going from one country to another and not being detected? The other question that came to mind, had he killed in other countries? Would he stop at six girls as he’d done in London? Would he move to another country or to another part of America? Could they now stop him before any more girls were killed? Paul knew that now this girl had been found, the search was already on for another girl and he knew they had no chance of preventing this from happening. They had no idea what he looked like or which area he would be searching. Obviously, the shopping malls would be his probable target, but there were so many shopping malls in Salt Lake.

The search in London had proved unsuccessful, although Paul knew it was still an ongoing case. He knew that he had to do whatever it took to prevent another girl from dying. This killer was a creature of habit.. Everything was precisely timed and he worked to a tight schedule, there would be exactly one month before the next girls in a white dress would be found.
